That was my first of three films with Christian Bale. I was the third or maybe even fourth 2nd AD on the film because the others had all quit because he was so difficult. He was playing an anti-authoritarian character who wanted to become an FBI agent, named Jim.

My first night I ask him to get into wardrobe. He slowly turns and walks right towards me. He'd just finished Batman he was huge. He walks til he's standing half an inch from my face, nose to nose, and asks "or whhhhaat?" "What do you mean or what? They need you on set" He just stands there, then starts to laughs.
